What is AMIGO Women Empowerment Association Ltd?

AMIGO Women Empowerment Association Ltd is a community-based organization registered in Uganda, founded on 11th August 2023. We are dedicated to empowering refugee women, single mothers, and vulnerable youth through skills training, entrepreneurship development, financial inclusion, and sustainable livelihood programs.

Who can participate in your programs?

Our programs are open to refugee women, single mothers, vulnerable youth, and community members seeking opportunities for economic empowerment, skills development, and personal growth.

What training and services do you offer?

We provide training in tailoring, food processing, liquid soap making, bar soap making, body oils, briquette production, counselling services, and other income-generating activities to build self-reliance.

What is your business model?

AMIGO operates as a social enterprise. We combine business principles with our social mission to create sustainable impact, providing credit, seeking partnerships, and diversifying funding sources to support our beneficiaries.

Who do you partner with?

We collaborate with organizations such as Norwegian Refugee Council, Refugee Law Project, Opportunity Bank, IRC, Ugaofode, JRS, and UNHCR to expand our reach and strengthen our programs.
